Knowledge is Power

As a Mutual Aid group focused on humanitarian relief efforts and aid without bias, we cannot continue our efforts without addressing or challenging the violently extremist leadership plaguing our country.

Due to the current political climate and increasingly violent interactions with ICE and other law enforcement entities, we as an organization will not be publicly posting our efforts in order to maintain the safety of our volunteers, peers, and associates.

We, as an organization, a leadership group, or individually, DO NOT support the current policies enacted by our nation's most powerful people.

The term "undocumented" is often over-reaching in an attempt to encompass LEGAL immigrants and the numerous groups of DOCUMENTED immigrants that are following the legal process of gaining citizenship in order to foster hatred and divide.

By creating the umbrella term "illegal" and using it interchangeably with "undocumented", an environment where people who are here legally can now be detained and jailed for ANY reason, even if it's just them speaking anything other than English or not meeting their complexion requirement.

We will continue our core efforts in reducing the suffering during our harsh winter months and make our donation drop offs where necessary throughout our local communities and the Greater Chicago Area, and we will continue to grow our Second Stitch Program.
