Your Donations at Work: How We Use Your Support
At Warmth to the Rescue, we are grateful for the generosity of our donors. Your support makes it possible for us to continue reaching out to homeless communities across the U.S. through our Mobile Outreach Program and other essential services. Every donation is a step toward creating positive change, and we want to ensure you understand exactly how we’re utilizing your contributions.
Current Spending Breakdown
So far, we’ve received $228 in donations, with $211 in total expenses. Here’s a detailed look at how these funds have been spent:
Office Supplies & Software (86.4%): $191 of the total expenses went toward office supplies and software. This category includes essential materials to keep our operations running smoothly, such as paper, printing supplies, and software for managing outreach logistics, donor relations, and communications. This represents 86.4% of our total expenses so far.
Legal & Professional Services (9.5%): We spent $20 on legal and professional services to ensure we remain compliant with nonprofit regulations, protect our 501(c)(3) status, and seek professional advice when needed. This accounts for 9.5% of our current expenses.
General Operational Expenses (4.1%): $211 has also covered other costs essential to maintaining the organization’s day-to-day operations, including fuel for our mobile outreach vehicle and basic materials needed to directly assist those we serve.

Looking Ahead: Future Uses of Funds
As our nonprofit continues to grow, we anticipate several key areas where additional funding will be needed to enhance our outreach and expand our impact. Here are some areas where your donations could be directed in the future:
NEW Second Stitch Program
Sewing Supplies & Equipment: To support the launch and expansion of our Second Stitch Program, we will need funding for essential sewing materials, including sewing machines, fabric scissors, needles, thread, and other tools necessary to repurpose clothing into blankets and socks for those in need.
Program Growth & Training: As the program develops, additional funds may be used for workshops, volunteer training, and storage solutions to help scale production. This initiative not only provides warmth and comfort to homeless communities but also promotes sustainability by reducing textile waste—ensuring that every resource is put to good use.
Marketing and Awareness:
Advertising and Campaigns: To increase visibility and reach more donors, we will need funds for online and offline marketing campaigns. This could include digital ads, social media promotions, or print materials to raise awareness about our mission.
Website Maintenance and Development: An updated and fully functional website will allow us to better engage with donors and the community, offering features like donation portals, volunteer sign-ups, and a clear overview of our ongoing work.
Expanded Legal & Professional Services:
Compliance and Taxation: As our organization grows, we will need ongoing legal counsel to ensure compliance with state and federal nonprofit regulations and to assist with filings, audits, and annual reports.
Consulting Services: Seeking professional advice in areas such as strategic growth, financial planning, and grant writing will be crucial for our future development.
Additional Expenses:
Fuel & Vehicle Maintenance: Maintaining our Mobile Outreach Program requires a steady budget for fuel and vehicle maintenance. These costs will increase as we expand our outreach to more communities.
Volunteer Training & Support: As we grow, training and equipping volunteers will be crucial. We may need to allocate funds for workshops, uniforms, and educational materials to ensure that everyone involved in the outreach is fully prepared.
Outreach Materials: In the future, we may need to purchase more specialized supplies for outreach, such as hygiene kits, clothing, or bedding, to meet the diverse needs of the homeless communities we serve.
Your Impact: Every Dollar Counts
Every donation is vital to the success of our mission. As we plan for the future, we will continue to be transparent about how funds are spent and strive to use your contributions in the most impactful way possible. Whether it’s ensuring compliance, reaching more people through marketing, or improving our services, your support is what makes all of this possible.
Thank you for being a part of the Warmth to the Rescue journey. Together, we can continue to make a lasting difference.
